Homogeneous reactor refers to the chemical reaction in which all the substances participating in the reaction are in the same phase. There is no interphase mass transfer. Although the concentration of materials may vary considerably at different spatial positions of the reaction system, the reactants, reaction products, solvents and catalysts can be considered to be uniformly distributed in terms of any differential volume. If the reaction system is a homogeneous gas phase, the reaction is called a gas phase homogeneous reaction, such as the thermal cracking reaction of lower hydrocarbons; If the reaction system is a homogeneous liquid phase, the reaction is called a liquid phase homogeneous reaction, such as inorganic acid-base neutralization reaction. In engineering, two aspects are often considered to judge whether it is a homogeneous reaction, that is, whether two or more reactants can be mutually dissolved, or whether each reactant can be dissolved in a reaction medium. As long as the reaction system can be made uniform on the molecular scale, it can be considered as a homogeneous reaction. The homogeneous reaction needs to meet the two conditions that the reaction system can become homogeneous and the premixing time is much shorter than the reaction time. It can be used to test the reaction of media with the same components under different conditions or to test the reaction of media with different components under the same conditions.
When the reactant system is corrosive, it shall be placed in the PTFE bushing to ensure that the kettle body is not corroded. The homogeneous reactor shall be placed in the heater, and the temperature shall be raised to the required reaction temperature (less than the specified safe use temperature) according to the specified heating rate. When the temperature is lowered after the reaction, it shall also be operated in strict accordance with the specified cooling rate to facilitate the safety and the service life of the reactor, After confirming that the temperature inside the reactor is lower than the boiling point of the reactant system solvent, the kettle cover can be opened for subsequent operation; Clean the homogeneous reactor in time after each use to avoid corrosion; Pay special attention to cleaning the sealing parts of the kettle body and kettle cover line, and prevent them from being damaged.
